Brandwein Institute Dedicates New Nature Learning Preserve

Greenville, NY – The Paul-F Brandwein Institute, Inc. is dedicating the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve on Monday, October 8, 2012, at 10am. All community members are welcome to attend the Dedication Ceremony and enjoy a hike along the trails. Light refreshments will be served.

The Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve offers educators and students a unique opportunity to study nature firsthand, be it a day’s visit to collect data or multiple visits to pursue long-term investigations. The beauty of the Preserve is the biodiversity of the landscape, plants, wildlife, and creek beds. To add a further educational dimension to the Preserve, leading science educators have prepared online lesson plans tied directly to aspects of the trails and their surroundings at www.brandwein.org/preserve/activities.

The Preserve has five interpretive trails, and two more under construction, that will be open to local school and club groups to perform field studies. Reservations for use are required.

To attend the dedication ceremony, please arrive at 10am on Monday, October 8th, at the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve, 390 Minisink Turnpike, Port Jervis, NY 12771. To RSVP, please call 1-570-296-6752 or email dedication@brandwein.org. All RSVP affirmatives are requested by October 5th.
