Brandwein Institute Summer Science Camp Program 2023
Week 1: July 17 – July 21
Week 2: July 24 – July 28
Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
at the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve.
Registration is open for two weeks of hands-on field-based nature and science education led by Master Teacher Kasey Stankunas. You can register for one week or both, but register quickly because spaces are limited!
Location: The Summer Science Program will be held at the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve (BNLP), 400 Minisink Turnpike, Port Jervis, New York. Signs will be posted on Minisink Turnpike directing parents to the drop-off area.
Times: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Parents are expected to drop off children and pick them up promptly.
Meals and Snacks: Participants are expected to provide their own lunch, beverage, and snacks. The Brandwein Institute will provide water.
Incidentals: Participants should bring a small backpack, face mask, water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
Cost and Registration: The cost for the five-day science program is $200 for one week and $300 for two weeks. The family discount cost for a second child is $150 for one week and $250 for two weeks.

Saturdays, A Story & A Stroll
Enjoy nature with your little one on selected Saturdays from May to October from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Bring your child or grandchild (toddler to age 4) for a nature-themed storytime followed by a wonder-filled walk through the preserve with Naturalist, Sara Mayes. All programs will take place at the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve located at 390 Minisink Turnpike in Port Jervis, NY. Our beautiful trails are easily walkable and all-terrain urban stroller-friendly.

Sundays at the Preserve
All of our Sunday programs are from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and will take place at the Brandwein Nature Learning Preserve located at 390 Minisink Turnpike in Port Jervis, NY 12771. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A donation of $5 per person or $10 per family is requested per program.
